As we head deeper into fall, there are a few simple steps you can take to save money, protect pipes, and help our crews!
Keeping your meter box clear of leaves is a huge help to our team — for everything from reading your meter to helping locate a leak. Meter boxes covered with leaves, grass, or other debris are harder to locate and access.
With temperatures dropping and days shortening, your lawn does not need as much water as it did in the dead of summer. Remember to adjust your sprinkler timers accordingly to save money and avoid overwatering your lawn.
And once you turn your sprinklers off for the season, remember to disconnect and winterize your backlfow preventer to keep it from freezing during the winter. Freezing temperatures can cause devices to crack, which can be costly to repair. The best way to do this is to work with a certified irrigation professional.
